Allison Shirk Grantwriting

Helping nonprofits fulfill their mission

Biography

I have over ten years experience working with an array of non-profit organizations in Washington, California, Texas, and Hawaii.  My writing style tugs at the heartstrings of funders and presents statistical data in a compelling, concise manner.

I am exemplary at finding new funding sources for projects and organizations.  My research skills in identifying statistics and trends provides strong community needs statements.  I can help organizations identify and implement outcomes and evaluation plans that accurately and meaningfully show how services are results oriented.

My field of expertise includes writing human services, environmental conservation, recreation, and cultural grants. I have special expertise in working with organizations that provide multi-lingual, multi-cultural services.

I have successfully written major grants to foundations and corporations such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, and others.  I am experienced in writing both federal and government grants as well as foundation and corporation grants.
